I don’t know about you, but my skin is always pretty much out of control after traveling. Air condition and temperature difference are kind of tough. Due to my horrible skin disorders at the moment I try to keep my skincare routine simple and try to use only the minimum of products. The problem is that anti-acne products are effective but they are not really moisturising. I checked my skincare drawer and stumbled across the Lancôme Hydra Zen Masque that I have used and loved a lot when my skin was still intact. It is an anti-stress moisturising serum-in-mask that you leave on overnight. Lancôme labelled the mask suitable for normal, dry or sensitive skin, but I think it is also great for combination skin. The texture is very gel-ish and extremely light, you can apply just a thin layer for great results if you have combination skin. I mentioned another product from the Hydra Zen range in this post and I still believe that these two products are a real game changer for dry to very dry skin.
The mask can be used as often as needed, also as a night cream instead of a mask. As I said, due to the lightweight consistency the mask penetrates the skin quickly and leaves it unbelievably soft. Also, it doesn’t sit on the skin nor does it feel sticky or greasy. I dislike product access on my pillow case but this mask soaks into the skin so quickly that I never had problems ruining my sheets. The odour is calming and fresh. Even my acne-prone skin liked it. I had no reaction after using it, I definitely reach out for it when my skin is in desperate need of moisture, despite my skin condition. The price is very heavy, but you only need the smallest amount of this product to cover your face. I remember that I tend to use it at least 2-3 times a week, sometimes as a heavy mask, sometimes as a night cream, and the tub is not even half empty. That justifies the price a little bit 🙂
